From Belgium To Mars

When do we start?

The Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) and the Royal Observatory of Belgium (ROB) work in close collaboration on many space projects for ESA and NASA. These Belgian research institutes have developed tools for the analysis and interpretation of data collected with all kinds of instruments studying Mars. Those data come from instruments located on the Earth and from satellites like Mars Express or ExoMars.

Both institutes also participate in the development of new technologies and innovative instruments for future missions to Mars. Will man set foot on Mars in 10 years, 20 years, or later?
